| This is my first orchid and it appears to have a new root system growing in the air. Please see the attached photos. Any recommendations on what to do? |

| What you have there is a keiki. Some people leave them attached as you have and they can then bloom off of the keiki. Others would seperate them and pot them in there own pot. Looks like you have plenty of roots to do that if you wish. Some phals. make keikis as it is in there breeding and others make them as they aren't happy. There is also a section on the top of the page that answers many basic questions. There may be a more complet answer in there. |
