This is just so much hype and meant to divert attention away from gmo failures with other crops originally touted to save Kenyans and other Africans from hunger. Transgenic Bt maize has long been grown in the US, Argentina and in a few other countriesm, including Denmark and Germany. So the research on Kenyan maize is a slam dunk, so to speak.

South Africa has been growing gm maize for years now while still trying to come up with regulations needed to protect traditional maize, the environment and perhaps people.

I was afraid of that Marshall. I was also disturbed that they claimed that there would be no outside influences to effect the feilds. Not sure how they can keep out natural pollinators out, if they can.

I for one, felt it was propaganda to promote GM foods without any real support that its advantagous...frankly it scares me that beter solutions arent on the forefront.
