| I started some "Armenian Yard-Long" cucumber plants from seed this year. Set 3 out. 2 are doing well but one has grown thick masses of pale yellow/green tendrils--similar to those normal to cucumbers but so prolific that it is choking itself.
I set it out very early protected under a portable greenhouse and it is the only one of the 3 that has born fruit (which tasted fine). I've decided to pull it up and dispose of it far from the garden but am really curious as I've been around vegetable gardens for 50+ years and have never seen anything like this. |
