Help Diagnosing Spots & "Indenting" Leaves

Greetings! I would dearly love to save this little sproutling. What do you think is causing these orange-brown dots (perfectly round...sunburned?) and indented edges? Thanks much! This is a Florida-grown tree-to-be.

What plant is it?

Any chance of posting a photo of the entire plant?

RE: Help Diagnosing Spots & "Indenting" Leaves

Greetings, Jean! I have no camera but I will gladly describe it. If you need more "visual", I'll draw it. It's tall and lanky, about four long spear-like leaves from each twig. Only the top laves are remaining. Growing new buds near bottom. Only when mature do leaves turn spotted and orange-brownish. Looks like it has the measles! Grows pretty fast. Bright green leaves to start, as you can see. Florida native. Started growing under a huge deciduous tree and so likes the shade!
You're wonderful for trying to help!
God bless!
Sister Eva
