| There seems to be a lot of interest recently on other forums in Smart Pots, those flexible planting containers that are used a lot by commercial growers. (smartpots.com) Sounds like a good idea to expand the amount of planting space, etc., but I'm wondering if there are any risks from chemicals used in the manufacture of these leaching into the planting mix. I emailed the company and they said that while the containers are not yet approved for organic gardens, a lot of organic gardeners use them. I'd be anxious to hear anyone's thoughts.

| I have been looking into these, but since they are made of non renewable fabric material I do not see them as something an organic gardener would buy. If a plant I purchased came potted in one I would probably see about reusing it, but like plastic pots I would not buy one. |
