| I've been checking my squash, melons and pumpkin plants religiously and have not found any squash bug eggs after noticing a couple of stink bugs in the garden (which I was able to kill.) Today when I was helping to pollinate the corn by shaking the stalks, out came a bunch of juvenile squash bugs!! I was able to spray some insecticidal soap on them to kill them on contact but am now paranoid that I will have an infestation. Any ideas what else I can do that won't destroy my ears of corn which are finally growing? I have nasturtiums, petunias, geraniums, borage, radishes, and marigolds interspersed everywhere. Guess I'll keep a sharper eye on the corn now too. Didn't want to disturb the silks before. Advice appreciated! |
