Eggs On My Green Beans

While picking green beans I found these eggs on one of the leaves.

Are they friend or foe?

Thanks,

Betty

Those appear to be the eggs of one of the species of the leaf-footed bug, a fairly common garden pest. I'd suggest a "search and squish" party.

Thanks rhizo 1. I've been off line until today.

I would love to see a picture of the bug itself. I threw the leaf with the eggs away.

I'll keep an eye out and destroy any more eggs I find.

    Thanks again,
    Betty

You should google it. They can get huge if you don't kill them. Their nymphs are orange with black legs. They really look like they have a piece of leaf stuck to part of their hind legs.

Thanks Zachey. They look really strange!

I'm glad I destroyed those eggs!
