Mulch

Anyone have any recommendations (brand specific even?) for an organic mulch (ie, not dyed). I have used Pine Bark Nuggets, and also Cedar Chips, and Pennsylvania Black Gold Hardwood Chips, just wondering if anyone has any thoughtful suggestions. I am on an organic campaign, but only for the last two seasons. I use compost and bone meal in the beds, as well as fish emulsion, and I routinely use milorganite for the turf, but no weed-and-feed products. I could use some advice on the mulching mainly to improve the soil, but beauty is important as well. Thanks.

A good mulch should not be obtrusive, it should do its job without too much visibility. As a rule what you purchase at your garden center, home supply store, in bags (name brand) are more expensive, and often made to be very visisble and an eye sore, then bulk material which usually is not very obtrusive.
Shredded leaves work quite well for me.

Leaves, straw, pine straw, grass & compost.
I use burlap bags or card boxes for the tough weeds.
