Monsanto exists only because of their influence and lobbying. Major players in protective agencies are former or future Monsanto people. There is no control.

Check out the links following the offered link.

Here is a link that might be useful: Monsanto - influence & lobbying

Dan, you are missing the forest for the trees. Washington exists in it's present vile state because of influence and lobbying. Don't blame ball players for doing their jobs, blame the owners who operate the league.

Scary! I am glad at least that I live in WI, one of the few states where it is legal to label milk as being rBGH free.

Exactly which claims were involved, and what was the evidence? Mercola is linking to Vanity Fair and not the evidence the French court considered.

Any links to the data?

The owners who operate the league are US! If you had enough outcry from the public it would change. People still have to get elected, lobbies or not. The America public has gotten increasingly hedonistic and apathetic, it seems to me. The truth is most Americans have never heard of Mosanto, which is truly frightening!

We are losing ground as an "educated" nation and "educated" voters!

It's scary. Of course, this stuff has always gone on, but it's on a much, much larger scale and it's gone high tech. Manipulating plant genes to make a profit! Monsanto has been an environmental disaster for the entire world along with plenty of other companies. Chervon and the Amazon leap to mind.

I don't understand the ignorance and apathy but it is staggering.

The evidence was presented years ago. This is Monsanto buying time on appeal.

The American government knows what the Roman empire knew all too well. Give the masses cheap bread and keep them amused and you can do whatever you want. Think dollar menus and football. The xbox will be the end of us all.

Everybody seems to lie and promote their products. We see this in everything that we watch on TV or try to purchase.

People run to their doctors to get the latest drugs. They buy all kinds of over the counter vitamins and supplements. There are no limits to how we are influenced.

I have stopped using chemicals in my garden except for occassional ant baits and Round Up. What is wrong with Round Up? I don't want to follow a dozen links, but why pick on Round Up while you are possibly drinking a diet soda (water plus chemicals)or eating cereal that is loaded with sugar, but it does have vitamins injected into it, and it has fiber?

Using Round Up in my yard allows me to much better maintain my rose beds, and create paths that do not require use of a lawn mower. (Note that the Round Up does not go into the rose beds).

I looked over the one link, and did not see how they were lying or what was wrong with using it. I did not want to study all the links that went with the first one, and wonder if in plain English you could tell me what is wrong with Round Up.

Sammy
