Organic Vegetable Fertlizer

I have read all the nice articles on fertilizer and still do not understand what to get for my vegetables. I have most in Earth boxes, but do have some in the ground. Please suggest something where a simple minded elderly Gardner can understand. I am raising greens, tomatoes, eggplant, chard, lettuce, cukes and summer squash. Thanks for your help.

Espoma Citrus Tone is a 5-2-6 fertilizer. Out of the Espoma line this is the best all around fertilizer they make. Don't be fooled by it being labeled for citrus, it is a better choice for veggies than their Garden and Tomato Tone products.

What nutrients does your soil need. To simply put some fertilziers, organic or synthetic, on a garden plot without knowing what is there already can result in more problems and can cause pollution. Start now with a good, reliable soil test by contacting your county office of the University of Florida USDA Cooperative Extension Service and ask about having that done. the results of that soil test will help guide you in what your soil might need.

Kimmsr makes a point I missed in your OP. The fertilizer I recommended was for your Earthboxes, not the ground. It would likely work just fine for ground grown plants too, but your soil may not need all the nutrients. Your container plants will.
