Lilo, that's a lovely shot. Manzanita is one of my favorite shrubs/trees. The red wood of it and the glorious bark are wonderful. I like blossom too and you've photographed it well, I like the composition and light.

Lovely blossoms...I wasn't famiiar with the tree but I think a twiggy branch I bought at a florist years ago might be Manzanita, although it's a creamy white bleached color, not red. It resides in the top of a 20-watt can floor light and casts lovely shadows so I don't stub my toes at night. josh

How beautiful they are! I'll bet you really smiled when you saw them. Wish we had something like that here,but the first blossoms we get are the witch hazels which smell wonderful but aren't as pretty as your manzanitas.
