I don't have a vivid memory of any 'firsts' of birds in my life except for these little fellas.

I vividly remember on my 6th birthday we were having my cake and ice cream in the back yard.

I remember Mama's excitement as she pointed out a hummingbird that was hovering over her honeysuckle, dipping down over and over sticking it's long tongue in blossom after blossom to collect nectur.
