Oh, that clematis! I just love arbors and vines, but I am a vine-killer :(
I have tried so many specimens and varieties, and they all croak on me, except my grape-vine, which does rather well.

I just noticed this morning that the clematis growing on/over my next door neighbor's light post has covered it, completely. Now, her dusk to dawn bulb will stay on all the time. :)

Knockout! I put in a clematis this last Spring - got fooled by the weather and so the poor thing spent weeks being put into a plastic overcoat at night to avoid the freezes. It did get a little frost damage but has soldiered bravely on but it is a sad sight. I dream one day it will be like yours. I'm going to show it this picture.

I especially liked the glimpse thru the arbor and the varying shades of foliage...hope you'll show us more of your garden in the coming weeks. josh

It is a little warm here for clematis to do so beautifully but I attempt, nonetheless.
