Wanda,how beautiful that is. All your pictures show a very charming,whimsical home and property. I have a question. I have a small stone fountain which I keep out in the sunroom. The trouble is,you can hear the motor humming and that just ruins the whole thing for me. Can you hear yours?

Marda, try sitting it on small piece of cork or thin sponge...something to lessen vibration. Also if adjustable you might try changing the flow...some have a tip for altering from a thin stream to a spray, etc. josh

No, I can't hear the motor/pump at all.
Doesn't show up very well in the photo but there are three water spills and the water flow is heavy so I hear the water.

Wanda, your fountain is lovely. The setting you've made for it is nice, too.

We have a solar fountain in which the water pours from a pitcher to three small bowls , then into a bigger basin. It could be plugged in, but it's preferable for ourdoor use. We keep it on our deck and love the soft sound of the running water. The birds love it, too! Watching a robin or blue jay take a bath for five minutes is a real treat.

It's interesting to me that sometimes when I think it's cloudy, there's still enough sunshine to power the pump and make the water flow. It doesn't store power, so it's completely dependent upon the sun.
