Great pictures...was Mama nearby? I've read often of deer becoming a problem in gardens but I can't think of a plant I'd not sacrifice to have such visitors. 'Course that's easy to say since I have none here in near-town suburb but I still think it would be magical to see fawns each day. Your photos are next best thing...thanks! josh

The middle photo is momma.......she is one of those teenage moms! If you had deer in your garden you would pretty much be sadrificing all your flowers. They are beautiful but they are very destructive. This year the fawns discovered a new "baby food", two pots of impatients and coleous........they don't like coleous so pulled in out and flung it, but oh those tasty impatients! Ate both pots....saw them one morning when I looked out the window but did not have my camera handy.

They wander through our property, but don't do too much damage around my place, all the tasty tidbits are seriously fenced and the goat area it hot wired. They like Joann's gardens, though!
It's because she has the horse arena, there is always left-over hay to browse, and then there are all the oaks, full of acorns in fall.
Linda, here it's not coleus, but marigolds the have sworn to eradicate, they pull them out and leave them to cook in the hot sun.

I love to look at them...in someone else's garden. LOL
