Every year we say good-bye to "summer", as the day the pool closes for the year. It's such a great time to look back, not like birthdays, or the let down of the holiday season (that's looking forward at this point), it's become my favorite day of the year. Kinda hard to capture, but what I love about it is in this picture. The clothes, swimming,the lake, the kid....

Great picture! I can understand what you are saying, it is something about summer that is so special. Probably because we all remember the anticipation of school letting out and having "all summer" to swim, play, lounge and enjoy each day..............I think that feeling always stays with us.
