can't see the turkeys through the rafters?

Great shot. Wily would be right. If they don't want you to see them, you almost have to fall over them. They can disappear right before your eyes.

I think wil is just right. That way the viewer can make it whatever she wants!

Twenty or so years ago I had never seen a wild turkey, but now we're getting quite a few around here and I love seeing them. Beautiful birds. My favorite sighting was a mama followed by a string of chicks crossing the road.

Maybe you could get Wanda to herd them for you. :>)

We have them all over the place too and it always surprises me to see them sitting in trees. Boy they are ungainly when they fly.Good picture Lilo and I agree with Nora..good title.

They are not native Californians, were introduced by bird-hunters who wanted to shoot something bigger than quail.
There were only a few round in this area, about five years ago they started showing up on the property, first about three, but they have increased considerable, the group roaming around here consists of more than a dozen...
