How awful for all of you living out there and having to either flee or watch this. I went to the NYT web site this morning and really looked at all the places the fires are raging,the damage in each one and it is almost too much to wrap my mind around..and the worse is where you are. Marilyn,are you in danger of it spreading to where you live?

I've been watching the fires on the news
everyday. I can't even begin to imagine the horror of
it all when you can see it in your own neighborhood.

I'm safe-that finger of the fire burned down to the bottom of the hill and ran into the reservoir, so it died out. There are still places burning, but not near me.

My San Diego daughter was visting friends in LA last weekend and now is afraid to go home. I think the highway is closed right now anyway. This is the scariest thing I've seen for a long time. I cannot imagine seeing it from your yard.
