Just delightful, Tisha. Looked like a fair-to-middling size town(lovely old brick buildings), but small-town in the best sense...the floats weren't over elaborate and the squaredancers looked like they were having fun.

Thanks, Josh. The town it was in was originally the state capitol, before Oklahoma City. Downtown Guthrie is a very nice place to visit. I've always enjoyed going there. We went in just about every antique shop that day, and that was fun.

Oh gosh,what memories those pictures bring back. We moved to Oklahoma right in the middle of the semi-centennial celebration in 1957,with the same kind of parades,and events. You photos are wonderful.
