An old Chinese folk belief is that a tiger, the king of beasts, protects young children from evil spirits, and that children wearing tiger hats have all sorts of blessings fall between their ears.

Here is my 6 month old grandson, Owen James, wearing his tiger hat. In my opinion, he is the blessing.
