We're still in the first minutes of the first day of the Internet revolution.
Scott Cook

Our technological powers increase, but the side effects and potential hazards also escalate.
Alvin Toffler

We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.
Carl Sagan

Mike Bergman, founder of BrightPlanet and credited with coining the phrase,[1] said that searching on the Internet today can be compared to dragging a net across the surface of the ocean: a great deal may be caught in the net, but there is a wealth of information that is deep and therefore missed.[2] Most of the Web's information is buried far down on dynamically generated sites, and standard search engines do not find it. Traditional search engines cannot "see" or retrieve content in the deep Web--those pages do not exist until they are created dynamically as the result of a specific search. The deep Web is several orders of magnitude larger than the surface Web.[3]

Good quotes. The trouble is that the ignorant are the ones who have the use of the power in today's technology.

The Deep Web has always existet one way or the other.
Runes that only priests could read, writings in Buddhists cloisters, ancient languages in South America, books which are still under lock and key in the Vatican and who knows in how many other places.

I agree with Anneliese, and add that sometimes bits and pieces of the Deep Web surface and become "superstition" "old Wives Tales" and occasionally the "aha" moment that starts a whole new line of thought and of discoveries

Was reading about the new 22nM intel chip and how they are making them smaller all the time. The next size they are going for is 14nM and so forth every couple of years but that is speeding up too. There is a video of the process on You tube that is interesting to watch but only shows a slight fraction of the real process. There are thousands of steps to making these chips that are thinner than a few molecules and reside in many of the things we use.

As the awareness of our senses continues to evolve we will see overlap of the basic ones and the creation of new to us realizations that there are things in the reality we live in that have always been there but we have been not aware of. Just as the great masters of music discovered long ago that we cannot just hear but also feel and see music the senses overlap. Case in point if you have been to a grand church and listened to a large pipe organ played with exuberance. But we have to hit the right harmonies to activate these hyper senses.

Science is revealing the forms of mater that make up our environment, things we are barely aware of but have a sense of via the combined senses I spoke of above. There are atoms made up of protons, neutrons, electrons and ions but they even have space between them which we have now discovered is filled with new things like dark mater, quantum and the interconnection of wave lengths that come in all lengths, frequency and amplitude. Light and sound have wave lengths as does the space between mater as we know it which is a simplified way of understanding quantum theory and the interconnectedness of all things to our simple experience and existence.

As we become aware of these attributes of the basis of life and mater and the interconnectedness that has been attested to by the native people of many continents our fear of the unknown will subside and we will advance to a pure learning phase of the intelligence we are made up of at the core of our being. That part that will go on without the physical body and be unlimited in what and where in the universe and beyond as time and space will be our new home including planes of existence and alternate realities. Perhaps there is more that we cannot convey with our limited forms of expression. I am truly looking forward to the expanded "reality" of unlimited learning.

"Science is revealing the forms of mater that make up our environment, things we are barely aware of but have a sense of....." Glad to see that science is part of the research.
