Summer garden memories for Jan. 26

I saw this beauty in my yard only one time. I thought it a bit odd that it was on my spruce and not near any flowers.

Looks like a Mourning Cloak, they prefere evergreens and consume treesaps and decaying fruits.
I still have not found what the other one is, but there are just about 16 000 moths to check, might take me some time.

I would say tenacious, if I would be smart, I would not look.

The Mourning Cloak I know from here and from Germany, where it also lives and is called Trauermantel which translates to Mourning Cloak.
