George is in the hospital again

They can't keep his blood pressure up where it belongs. He's had 2 units of blood and that worked for about 24 hours, now the reading are things like 70 over 50 and soometimes even lower I want him to see a cardiollogist but there aren't any very close and he is afraid that they will put him in a hospital there.

Leone, I am so sorry that George has problems again. Can you get support from family members, friends, a minister to get him to agree to see a cardiologist? He really needs to see one. If he needs to be in a hospital away from home, so be it. He needs the help of a specialist.

I lit my candle again and send you both my best wishes and prayers and an armfull of sunflowers.

I am so sorry to hear this, Leone. I know he doesn't like hospitals, who does? But low B/P is a serious matter.

Well he is homee but shouldn't be. He cann barely walk aroind the house without ggasping for air. Supposed to see family doctor Monday and I'm going to ask about a heart specialist. Seems lik there ought to be a pill to raise BP.

Thoughts and energy coming your way. Have been on meds to control blood pressure and hart rate for two years now. There are things that can be done to help.

Leone, bless your heart for taking time to let us know how George is doing. As a nurse, I certainly agree that George needs to see a good cardiologist. And yes, there is medication to raise the BP. But the first issue George needs to have determined is WHY the BP is so low. Sure wish it was easier for him to be convinced of these things!

I have been keeping my DH up to date on yours and George's situation and DH is with George all the way. Go figure, men?

I checked here first thing. Thought about y'all all weekend. Still sending good thoughts and best prayers. Sounds like he's not in "real" danger if they let him go home? Wonder what the diagnosis is, not a real question. Rhetorical. I'm just glad he got to go home and has a plan of action. Take care!

The two of you have been on my mind and I am sure many others here. I and we send our good wishes for continued health for George and you too Leone.

It may be a bit selfish of us but we all look forward to the wonderful stories and glimpses into your lives. There is an endearing simplicity that comes through in all of your posts over the years meaning both of you.

I'm sorry I missed the first post, I don't know all that is going on, but I will pray that things will work out for him. And yes, keep us updated...

I am guilty of seeing just my little world and its woes, forgetting that others have problems too, just as bad as mine, just different.. I am so sorry, I'm not usally like that...forgive me??

I do hope and pray that he will be ok, you as well.

This is the picture I took of George standing outside the Pony Express Museum. I stopped there on my way to California last August. How could I not? :o)

Anyway I thought it might be helpful to have a photo of his handsome face for all of us to focus on, as we wish George (& Leone) a speedy recovery.
