| In today's world, I wonder if Marcus Tullius Cicero's quote holds true. It seems to me, that once someone is accused of something, even if it is proved untrue, the accusation follows the person, and to some degree, colors whatever pertains to him/her in the future. Or, conversely, no matter what someone does, espcially if that someone is "famous", the most outrageous conduct/deeds are overlooked. (I have definitely gotten more cynical in my old age!) |
