Dr. Martin Luther King is not a black hero. He is an American hero.
Morgan Freeman

I am going to stop calling you a white man and I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man.
Morgan Freeman

And then there was Dick Gregory....

I am really enjoying the new Martin Luther King Jr stamp - just think about all those white bigots, licking the backside of a black man.
Dick Gregory

I agree with Morgan Freeman, the more we acknowledge our commonality the easier it is to live in harmony.

As I have mentioned before, I have lived practically the whole time since I got married, either on Army installations or in an area with mainly military and retired military neighborhoods. Morgan Freeman expressed what we live without thinking about it. We are friends, neighbors, military or ex-military, not black and white or any other combination.
Well, there are the others of course - the "Civilians", LOL.
