Nice to see the first signs of spring. Are those "wild" crocus, or did you plant them at some point?
RE: The first sign -

I did plant them at some point, but not necessarily at those spots, between soil erosion and moles they appear to travel. Still, they have shown up and multiplied consistently in those spots for some tine now.

Beauty, little helpers in the garden. ;^)

Found one yellow one yesterday in a hedge where it never was planted. Those little things travel. |

I love crocus. They are such happy little lights in the frozen ground.

The little green shoots have poked their heads above ground, but that's all, so far. My crocus have spread, too, in unlikely places, where they were never planted.

Hey, those "little green shoots" produced a little white crocus, this morning! It's not even an inch out of the ground, but it's a flower! More are coming, I know.

It's wonderful, isn't it? Once that first one shows up, they can't be stopped, mine are coming up all over now. Yellow, purple and striped.

I have to tell you - I have had daffs blooming for 2 weeks. They are near the dryer vent, next to the basement wall... But we've had a mild winter all things considered.
