We are kind of getting dumped on

Started snowing yesterday afternoon and it is still snowing steadly. Very little wind with this so it isn't drifting yet anyway. A neighbor witth a big snowblower cleaned our drive and a lot of sidewalks. We weren't going anywherte anyway. Wind is supposed to come up tomorrow, don't really feel up to shoveling through drifts. Crazy sandhill cranes, some of them anyway showed up last Sunday. Bet they wish they had stayed south for a few more weeks, don't know what they are going to find to eat with a foot of snow on the ground.

We had ice rain during the night, but right now it drizzles and only the cars are glazed and the mailboxes, the streets are ok. The snowshovel behind the house has not been used this year.
Yesterday around noon about 50 sandhill cranes headed straight north where they would end up in snow and ice.
George and Leone, stay safe and let others take care of the snow, you have done it long enough for others in your neighborhood.

I guess the cranes have to figure out how to navigate the weather patterns, just like us humans.

The weather here for the last two months has been nasty. You can't really plan anything when the roads are this bad.
