It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.
C. S. Lewis

I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than to teach ten thousand stars how not to dance.
e. e. cummings

Just as the bird sings or the butterfly soars, because it is his natural characteristic, so the artist works.
Alma Gluck

Good thoughts to start the new month. March is full of whimsy and temperament, the weather vane flailing here and there, I know I shall see snow on Easter - if not, it would surprise me.

Don, even though e.e. cummings wasn't writing about "human" stars, the thought that popped into my mind on reading his quote was the TV show. I dare to say he wouldn't have wanted to teach them "not to dance", either. :>)
