I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.
E. B. White

Look not mournfully into the past, it comes not back again. Wisely improve the present, it is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future without fear and with a manly heart.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Onion rings in the car cushions do not improve with time.

Quirky quotes this morning, #1 is right on, Mr. Longfellow in #2 refers to a manly heart - does a womanly one count? Erma, of course, is correct, I imagine. Never had that happen :)

# one hits the nail right on the head today. It's sunny, getting warm, feels like just sitting in the backyard and enjoy the day and there is tree litter, the last of the oak leaves are shedding and a raking of front and backyard is unavoidable before the grass starts growing. The herb bed needs to have the mulch removed. Tomorrow and especially on Monday it's supposed to rain again.

The first one hits the target. I tend to do the work first, then enjoy the day.Today, I fixed a Saint Patrick's dinner so I can enjoy the day tomorrow.
Hmmmmm, about the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow quote.
Lol at Erma. when I eat onion rings, I don't leave a crumb. Yum.
