Listen, The wind is still,
And far away in the night --
See! The uplands fill
With a running light.

Open the doors. It is warm;
And where the sky was clear--
Look! The head of a storm
That marches here!

Come under the trembling hedge--
Fast, although you fumble...
There! Did you hear the edge
of winter crumble

Spring Thunder by Mark van Doren

WOW!
Very graphic---I could SEE what was taking place...VERY impressive!
Very.

I'll think of this poem as the thunderstorms that are boomeranging off Atlanta this morning, head this way---maybe this time it won't be snow; maybe it will be a
more mannerly rain, bringing a more gentle green.
Thank you, ej!

"The edge of Winter crumble" states it so beautiful, something to keep in mind, love it!

Yes, the winter crumbled. It held on with a fury until a couple of days ago and then came spring weather.

Hope it crumbles some more soon. It's wet-cold out there, 34 degr, windchill 27. Love the poem.
