That we may record our emptiness.”
~Kahlil Gibran

Only a sleeper considers it real.
Then death comes like dawn,
and you wake up laughing
at what you thought was your grief. Rumi

“I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.”
~Rumi

Who could be so lucky? Who comes to a lake for water and sees the reflection of moon.

What great quotes you find, Don! Thank you for your efforts.
That second one really speaks to me--a wonderful way to look at the end of life.

Thank you, Don. the quotes you bring to us are a wonderful start to each day.

The second quote brought tears to my eyes. Betsy, I too, find it very comforting,-- and something to be anticipated with joy.

I like all the quotes - it is something to notice that Rumi and Gibran are from the same part of the world and are centuries apart and yet their worldview is so much on the same wavelength
