We turn not older with years, but newer every day.

Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886)

(Why am I not understanding one word she wrote here?)

*******

"If two things don't fit,

but you believe both of them,

thinking that somewhere, hidden,

there must be a third thing that

connects them, that's credulity."

- Umberto Eco (1929-), Foucalt's Pendulum

*******

"To sit alone with my conscience will be judgment enough for me."

- Charles William Stubbs

*******

Remember when we all had a cowboy/girl outfit, complete with felt cowboy hat and cap guns?

We never had enough money for caps, but that's OK; the sun was shining and we were righting the world's wrongs, right alongside Hopalong Cassidy and the Cisco Kid.
