| The first one reaches too far beyond my simplistic mind, but it DOES make me want to strive to be a better person.... The second one I can grasp totally---but then, to practice the first quote, one has to embrace the second quote. |

| Regarding the second quote: a mantra my yoga teacher has used says "Always try to practice loving kindness toward others and yourself." Perhaps if one does that, the first quote will happen? A simplistic solution, but one has to start somewhere! |
