I wouldn't swear to it, but if it has long pods of purple/redish berries later, I think it would be a poke berry. Considered a weed.

Thank you so much. I'll keep an eye out for the berries just for the heck of it. Then I'll dig it up.

There's a really good ID forum on here. I think it is called Name that Plant. If you want a second opinion, check over there. They will appreciate the photo...I've just described items before...that makes it a lot harder!
