The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.

I agree, but when we had a leak around our chimney cap last November and got an ugly stain on the ceiling, we couldn't wait for sunshine! What a bummer! A new roof doesn't come cheap, even on a small house, but it had to be done. Now, six months later, the ceiling and stain are going to be repaired. Of course, the whole ceiling has to be repainted, just one little section would stand out like a sore thumb!

Had a similar problem, it took one (1) roofing nail to repair, a 3 x 3" spot on the ceiling and a whole bedroom ceiling to paint.
Somehow the whole thing was somewhat disproportioned.

I was so surpised to see JFK talking about repairing roofs. Who knew, not me.
I guess it comes along with something like, make hay while the sun shines or get a loan when you don't need it, because when you need it, you can't get a loan.
