I am not sure what this is about; however, either it was referring to something from 1771, or more likely it was placed there in 1771. It was next to one of the doors.

My last photo of an art student in old town Las Palmas. This one is a favorite of mine.

Tapas bars were everywhere, very few people were inside. The 'B' is for bar; and the 'C' is for cafeteria. I saw 'R' on a business that was restaurant with inside seating only. We did not stop here, but at another place in old town. As we sat there and enjoyed our tapas and beverage, several of our friends from Cruise Critic walked by and we chatted. As we left, some of them immediately took our table for their own sampling.

Figure it out for yourself: 1 Euro = $1.35 US. That means the tapas and wine was not cheap, but what the heck.

Re: tappas.
There are tappas bars all over Silicon Valley, a very nice import from other countries.

On this cruise, we were in 9 Spanish ports. We had something yummy in every one of them. We somehow also managed to obtain some wine, too. Prices were not cheap, but fair and we enjoyed all of them!

Tappas bars most likely will never make it to the hinderland of the midwest, but during a vacation in Spain we never made it to a regular restaurant, only to tappas bars (by choice).
