What a pretty sight

I just looked out the backwindow and saw an Indigo Bunting amidst the Cardinals and a few Goldfinches. Made my day. Of course now I have to refill my thistle seed feeder.

What a beautiful sight that must have been. It would make my day, too!

I've only seen one on our property and that was last year at the feeder. I had to do a double take. What a beautiful shade of blue he/she was. I hope yours comes back.

Anne, aren't you the lucky one!!
What a special gift for you---I bet you're still smiling about it!
We see a lot up on the Blue Ridge Parkway, not so much down in this part of the Valley....

Wonderful! I can see it in my mind. Better in person, I bet.

I think I'm a bit envious. We had a pair at the mountain house, but I've never seen any down here. Our thistle feeder mainly attracks the goldfinches and occasionally a red-headed house finch. The only blue is from the blue jays who have learned that if they sit on the beechnut branch nearest the back porch door, DH will give them peanuts.
