Restoration of this wonderful site was completed in 2012.

This is the ceiling within one of the pavilions at Court of the Lions.

Of course I must have a shot of a door. This is looking up from about 6' from the floor. Work on this kind of elements was begun in 1362, of course this has been restored. But look at the design of just one door.

The door in the previous photo was mostly for decoration purposes; for regular use, there was a door within the door. This shows some of the hardware of that door. Work was completed in this area in 1391.

Water was a big thing at the Alhambra. Fountains and pools were highlighted everywhere, from within the Generalife Gardens to private patios like this one.

If I did lots and lots of research, I might be able to determine where is courtyard fountain is located. My caption just says interior courtyard fountain.

This is another one of the courtyards within the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain.

This one is interesting, if you look close you can see the splashes created by cascading water on the other side of this window. We were looking down. If it had not been pointed out by our guide, we probably would have missed this.
