You must have been warned against letting the golden hours slip by; but some of them are golden only because we let them slip by.

Even though they may not have seemed so at the time, events in the past seem to take on a "golden" glow, perhaps most of it nostalgia for times gone by? That's so for me, anyway.

Regarding the second quote, isn't it said that "Silence is golden"? :>)

Often the "good old times" are not as good or golden when you really look back; you tend to forget the bad things from the same time, at least I do.

Of course it is nostalgia, but I think everyone has had some personal moments, impressions and insights that stand out, they were perhaps pivot points in a life and, looking back, were golden. So was time spent with some individuals long gone from one's life, but the time spent was golden.

The second quote is so true, I like Pandora Radio and I like to play my
CD's, but not on a constant level all the time, it is hearing and not listening and turns to sort of a Muzak.
