RIP Red

A natural death at 12 years of age, he lived a long and mostly happy life. Never bossy with the hens, nice to people, some visitors, not used to early rising, were a bit disturbed by his early crowing, but then, that's what a rooster does: he tells the sun it's time to rise :)
Funeral tomorrow early morning, before it gets too hot.

Sorry about the loss of your pet rooster. He was beautiful, his harem will miss him and of course you too.

We miss the little things. Had a rooster in another life and there was a bar across the street over 500 feet away. We always knew when the bar closed and vehicle were leaving the parking lot.
