I have learned hat I am me, that I can do things that, as one might put it, me can do, but I cannot do the things that me would like to do.
Agatha Christie

There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then are those who turn one into the other.
Douglas Everett

The world cares little about what a man or woman knows; it is what a man or woman is able to do that counts.
Booker T. Washington

I like the Douglas Everett quote
I think Agatha gave up to quickly, there are many things to "like to do" if one is realistic about it.

That's just it, "If you are realistic about it". I would like to sing, but no matter how much I try, I still sound like a bagpipe with a crack in a pipe:-). I think that she talked about the things one would like to do but the talent or ability is lacking.
