It's the third day with 103 F (39C) temps and today we hit the lowest humidity: 7% This is not a typo.
House is holding at 80, that little cooler is working very hard.
I am not a happy Camper

Both of my parents were born and raised in Illinois. While they were in their 50s, they moved to the Phoenix area. They loved it there, they wore sweaters much of the year! For them, 85 at night was OK. No way could I live there. They pleaded with me to move. Too hot I said. Their reply was something along the line...but it is a dry heat. No thanks!

It was 59 this morning at 5:00 a.m. And it got up to 81 this afternoon. That is acceptable in July for central Illinois. Although my tomatoes would really like it to be warmer overnight! They didn't tell me directly, they had the cucumbers mention it.

RE: Hot enough for me

The cooler temps since Monday were just right for me. Right now it's 57 but the thermometer is supposed to climb back up starting today.
Lilo, I admire your fortitude, I would melt. Have problems with the 80 F we keep at the house, but my husband likes it warm.

Lilo, I, too, admire your fortitude. 103 degrees for three days, even if it's 'dry' heat, sounds pretty awful to me. My sister, who lives in FL, endures temps in the upper 90s for round six weeks, starting in June. She says it's the 'rainy" season, and the humidity--just the opposite of yours--is so high, people's glasses steam up when they leave their air-conditioned homes.

We have had a few days of the cooler weather which blew down from Canada. Out six a.m. temp, yesterday morning, was 48 degrees and it didn't get to 80, even in the late afternoon. I really liked that.

Lilo, I am with you. Our temps are about the same of yours. I dislike air conditioning, but can't do without it, Not sleeping very well, the nights are not cool either, I need to remember this next winter.

Speaking of humidity. I have to learn that my camera lens will fog up when taken outside in this weather. So, whatever cool picture I wanted to take will have to wait five minutes before the camera can adjust. I think that I might leave the camera in my truck in the garage, sorta an in-between situation.
