crawdads crawl by
catfish nudge ankles
warm water gives a sigh

Fire flys emerge at dusk
rest on hand a spell
warm humid evening descends
bringing a musky smell

Trees, grass and flowers
fill senses
with a perfume natural
remembrance

lightening thunder
gentle rain
clean fresh morning
again
