Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration.
Charles Dudley Warner, My Summer in a Garden, 1871

In every gardener there is a child who believes in The Seed Fairy.
Robert Brault

Unfortunately for me, when I garden, usually all I get is dirt under my fingernails! One small moss rose that was blooming provided breakfast for a bunny, till he had eaten it all.
