I get occasionally asked why I walk outside in all kinds of weather instead of using the treadmill in the gym or get one myself. This morning walk was one of the reasons I do.

The moon seemed to be gigantic, a bright deep orange. First it hid behind some clouds, the edges banded with fire, then an occasional small cloud flitted across, looking like the cartoon Halloween moon and when those were gone, I could see the craters without binoculars. No way could you see anything to equal it in a gym.
