The yellow and white theme is common in Spain, particularly in the older parts of the cities that we visited. La Hosteria de Laurel is a hotel, bar and restaurant in the Santa Cruz portion (the Jewish quarter) of old town Seville.

This is mounted on the side of the Laurel Hotel. Interesting music note (thatâÂÂs a pun folks).

There is something with the architecture in Spain that really draws me to it. Seville, in the southern part of the country, still shows a lot of influence from Moorish occupation for many years. I really like this.

If this gentleman were to spread his arms out, he would probably be able to touch both walls. When considering the small balconies above his head, you can understand why they were called âÂÂkissing balconies.â Love the street lights.

A couple of doors and now some real neat shutters. This was on the second story, many people probably missed seeing this.

More shutters. I donâÂÂt know if these residences are owner occupied or rentals. I would enjoy staying here for a while, thatâÂÂs for sure.

What wonderful doors! And such colorful buildings - Seville looks as though it welcomes the travelers
