...Still Have Electricity!

Massive winds and rain....haven't felt any thumps of falling trees so far!

It's 7:30 AM and it's like night,---almost!

I'm sure there's a bunch of snow up on Afton Mtn.----glad I'm living down in the valley, again----there was a time when
I would've choked saying those words---funny what getting older and a LITTLE wiser will do for a person!

MR, so glad you're safe and sound!!!! What about some Doc Martin episodes, instead of Up/Down? He's such a lovable geek! (I haven't had TV for a year, but saw him on Netflix at my daughters' house a few months ago---came away smiling all day...beautiful scenery and jaunty characters surround him.)

Anne---you OK?

Hope ALL of you are safe and sound!

My heart and prayers go out to those in cities and towns feeling the effects of despairing darkness and cold.

Hi KJ the storm has pretty much passed Baltimore County. I know my dahlias took a real beating from wind and rain. No tree damage I can spot. Will go out tomorrow for damage assessment. Hope everyone is OK.

We feel fortunate that we weren't hit any harder than we were. We had a 12' length of flashing just beneath our roof line tear loose and fall to the ground, but it didn't get bent or blow into our neighbor's window and can be nailed back in place--but not by us! DH can't climb a big step ladder and it probably wouldn't be wise for me to try to do it. Now, I'll have to find that handyman we were talking about last week! We had sustained 30 mph winds for over ten hours; it was pretty breezy.

Awww Kathy, I was going to tell you about a BIG house up on the mountain you could get for less than half price.
Like you, I had my mountain woman fix. Really don't want to live above the clouds again.

I feel so sorry for the folks without power.
