Today is national bologna day. Not kidding. Guess we could hang a ring of bologna on the front door.

It must be 30 years, since I've eaten bologna--or "baloney"--as I spelled it as a child. The way we liked it was in a fried bologna sandwich--now, that was good!

Hot ring bologna and ketchup spiced with curry - play on German currywurst, except that we can't get the right kind of wurst here.

It has been a long time since we have eaten bologna, but a couple of months ago I had a hankering and bought a tub of all beef bologna. Wonders of all wonders, it tasted exactly the way I remember and I enjoyed it both for the taste and the memories of when our family was young and we had it on a regular bases.

I ate a fried bologna sandwich yesterday.
My grocery store slices it any way you want it.
We like the big thick slices.
It is really good.
