I had a dog Tootsie, who was a mutt: Doberman and Labrador - now she's be a Labdorable and cost a lot of money, I guess, as it was, Duke picked her up in front of the supermarket, some people were giving the pups away - she was the best dog no matter what you'd call her.

I'm a firm believer in the fine dogs a mutt makes. There are genetic reasons for it since many purebreds have had the envelope of their family tree pushed a little too hard. My last doggie was a registered miniature schnauzer. We loved him to bits, but he was pretty much his own grandpa I found out after tracing the line back and it showed. He was strung tighter than a banjo.

Reading the title of your post, I thought to myself, "H-m-m, I've been coming to the Party for several years, but don't think I remember anyone whose name was "Mutts"! LOL

I thought it was about the comic strip. Mixed bred dogs are usually much more mellow.
Here is a link that might be useful: MUTTS

We have had one dog and he was a mutt. He was a mixture of Keeshond and something else. He was smart, lovable, protective of the family and fun loving. What more could we ask of a family dog? We got him from a friend when he was six weeks old and he lived until he was 19 years old. He was part of the family.

"Rotger for $125.00 and for free a Daschna." I'm curious, what is a Rotger and a Daschna?

As far as I have figured it out, going by the first couple of letter/sylables of breeds: Rot - Rottweiler? Ger -German Shepherd? Da - Dachshund? Just my guess, I was tempted to call and ask but afraid I could not hold my laughter.
