In these days of social media where we "communicate" via the net in short tweets and posts we may miss some "real" conversations.

DH ad I were waiting in a long line at a store. There was a young woman with a baby in a stroller, I guess.she was about 4-5 months old.

Mom looked at the display, baby looked at mom, trying to get her attention, she smiled, did a gurgle, moved her arms and legs. Mom looked at baby, and baby smiled , kicked her legs and waved her arms. Mom touched her hand and baby smiled, mom wiggled her leg and baby wiggled her whole body.

The baby was happy, looked up, saw me and we smiled at each other.

A real conversation, and not a word spoken, other than a "gurgle" and a couple of smiles.
